Rosberg quickest in first Monaco practice

May 23rd, 2013 (F1Plus / Chris Cameron-Dow) - The first practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix has been completed, with Mercedes' Nico Rosberg emerging quickest in the 90-minute session. As expected the Mercedes is fast around the streets of Monaco, but it is not yet clear if tyre management issues will spoil their race weekend once again. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso finished the session second, ahead of the Lotus of Romain Grosjean. FP1 at Monaco is all about getting used to the tight street circuit, where the barriers are always close, the road surface is bumpy and there is never time to relax.
