McLaren confident of improved pace in China

McLaren's Martin Whitmarsh is thankful for the three-week break between the Malaysian and Chinese Grands Prix as the Woking-based squad looks to get on top of its issues. Whitmarsh is confident they have a better understanding of the MP4-28, it's problems and what can be done to "widen its operating window" which he hopes will see them enjoy a more competitive weekend. “Clearly, our performance in Australia and Malaysia fell below the high standards we’ve come to expect at McLaren," he said.
