McLaren to drop Mercedes engines for Honda – report

McLaren will be reunited with former engine partner Honda, reviving a collaboration which gave the British team, along with the late Ayrton Senna, plenty of success in late 80s and early 90s, according to report by the BBC. Honda fielded its own team for three successive years until it pulled out of Formula 1 completely at the end of the 2008 season. Before that it competed in the sport solely as an engine supplier. Changes in regulations in 2014, which will see the introduction of turbo-charged V6s with energy recovery systems, are believed to have enticed the Japanese manufacturer to consider returning to the sport with McLaren expected to change its supplier from 2015 onwards....
