Lotus 'well placed' ahead of final gathering

According to Trackside Operations Director Alan Permane, Lotus is in a strong position prior to the final pre-season test in Barcelona next week. Despite technical troubles striking Kimi Räikkönen's car on Tuesday and Wednesday, the team bounced back to cover plenty of dry and wet mileage with Romain Grosjean. Grosjean tested the Full Wet tyres at the Circuit de Catalunya on Friday"Discretion was the better part of valour today; we evaluated performance on the Wet and Intermediate tyres as well as running a collection of non-weather affected data correlation programmes," said Permane. "We were successful in these objectives and are well placed heading into next week's test....
