Bianchi to drive VJM06 at Jerez on Friday

Jules Bianchi will drive Force India's new VJM06 chassis at Jerez on Friday, with the Frenchman in the running to claim the team's vacant seat alongside Paul di Resta. Bianchi, who finished runner-up to Robin Frijns in the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 series, made a number of free practice outings for Force India last year and has been widely tipped for a promotion from his reserve role with the Silverstone-based outfit. Di Resta will kick off Force India's testing programme on Tuesday, before sharing duties with development driver James Rossiter and Bianchi for the rest of the week.
