Valsecchi gets third driver role at Lotus
"true">Reigning GP2 Champion Davide Valsecchi has been announced as Lotus's Third Driver for the 2013 season. The Italian, whose position was confirmed at the launch of the team's E21 chassis on Monday, joins Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean, plus ongoing reserve Jérôme d'Ambrosio and development driver Nicolas Prost. Having claimed the 2012 GP2 title with four victories and two pole positions to his name, Valsecchi tested for Lotus at the Abu Dhabi Young Driver outing last November. The 26-year-old who ultimately failed to secure a race seat for the upcoming Formula 1 campaign, will most likely focus his efforts on simulator work and straight line tests. In 2012,...
