Wolff set to join Mercedes

Toto Wolff is set to leave Williams to join Mercedes as its head of motorsport, according to a report in Germany. Bild reported on Sunday that Williams executive director Wolff would move across to take up the position recently vacated by Norbert Haug at Mercedes, though his Formula One input is unclear after Niki Lauda took on a role on the Mercedes Formula One team's board. Such a move would come as a surprise after Wolff took on a more hands-on role within the Williams team having become an executive director midway through 2012.
