Nurburgring set for German GP deal

Bernie Ecclestone hopes to hold this year's German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring as the calendar looks set to stay at 19 races. The FIA approved a modified calendar in December that moved the German Grand Prix to July 7 and opened up a date for another European race two weeks' later. While the location for the German race was uncertain - with the Nurburgring due to host the race but in financial difficulty - it was believed Hockenheim could step in, but Ecclestone says he believes a deal with the Nurburgring could be agreed this week. "It should be the Nurburgring and we are trying to make it happen," Ecclestone revealed to Reuters. "I'm talking with them today."...
