Turkish GP return depends on government

The future of the Turkish Grand Prix now rests in the hands of the country’s Prime Minister. This is according to TOFSED President Demir Berberoğlu, who claims that approval and funding from the government is all that remains to be confirmed. Bernie Ecclestone, CEO of the Formula One Group, met with Turkish businessman Vural Ak in Istanbul this week and has agreed basic terms for the event to return. On Wednesday, the FIA outlined July 21 as the date for an extra Grand Prix in 2013.
