Theo Pourchaire joins Mercedes as F1 development driver

The revolving door of Formula 1 talent has just swung wide open for one of France’s brightest stars. Mercedes has officially added 2023 Formula 2 champion Théo Pourchaire to its elite driver stable, installing him as a Development Driver just as the 2026 season begins to simmer. At 22, Pourchaire arrives in Brackley with a resume that reads like a masterclass in persistence. After narrowly missing out on titles in F3 and F2, he finally conquered the mountain with ART Grand Prix in 2023.
