The great Niki Lauda would have celebrated his 77th birthday on this day, so it's the perfect opportunity to post this wonderful shot of the three-time F1 world champion sitting and smiling in a McLaren, balaclava on his head in typical period Lauda style. The late non-executive chairman of the Mercedes F1 team still has his lone red star stamped on the bodywork of the Brackley squad's machines. Because he's still in everyone's heart.
